The Lone Wolf and the Dirty Dog!

Mom,
Emma Dawn, E + D = not following the family traditions. mom you can be sure that when i have kids theyll have the double initial letters in there. for example Jerome Jackson Bennett. just an example but probably will be the name of my first born son. jus sayin...
CONGRATS METCALF FAMILY FOR KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS AND MAKING CHILDREN, KEEP EM COMIN!
best pic is the one with jared holding her and kayson on his back, almost brought a tear to my eye.
Dakota plays rugby? he does stuff in his life? his team is actually good also?
ya riley got his license thats cool, Freedom (his car) called me the other day and said he cant drive her til he proves himself for the first 6 months.
ya so basically ive been district leader ever since i was in cascavel about 3 tansfers back and now im zone leader with elder Denna in apucarana, word of the week BATISMOS
seriously though, district leader and training is the hardest thing you can do on the mission, it just tired me out so much, being zone leader you have to care about people emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally and seeing how i dont care well about others, So Im  stretching my capacities. im the lone wolf.
me and elder denna are gonna bring apucarana back up to the same apostasy it was at when we were here last time. o! elder denna is a dirty dog. the Lord put the dirty dog and lone wolf together, only apostasy comes from that. o ya i forgot elder denna is from northern cali, his brother married sara barlocker. when i told him i was fresno, he asked me if i knew the barlockers and i said that i do, then he said his brother married one of there daughters. in that moment, i knew wed be well together, weve got family ties.
The low down on transfers is this, pres. tavares only said that because a ton of americans arent getting there visas and if new elders arent arriving, then there will be areas that have to be closed down which means if theres no growth of areas opening, your gonna stay in your area. Pres. Monson sent that letter to Pres. Tavares like 9 months ago. i just spent one transfer in maringá and got transfered already to a whole other city, then again i am the lone wolf... alright im done with the lone wolf now.
ya i dont have the address down yet, just send the box to the mission home, they have a leadership council once a month in londrina and i have to go to them now so ill be in londrina at the start of next month or you can wait till next week and ill get an address maybe, for letters just send them to the mission home, nobody writes anyways.
a limo for mormon prom, since when did mormon prom become important?
im in one of the best areas in the mission, my comp is really good, the members in this branch are really good, i feel like crying because so much joy! then again, i payed my dues, i trained american elders for 6 months straight, now i reap my reward!
the field is so white and ready to harvest! :D love you all, congrats to everyone for being you!

Dad,
how would mom know about that? ya me and elder denna arrived this week and were the new zone leaders of apucarana. elder denna is older then me on the mission, hes got 3 more transfers and i have 5 more. i think i might be here until the end of my mission, just a possibility.
another granddaughter, i saw all the pictures she looks healthy and young!
koty is doing rugby? since when?
basically im happy right now!!!
love ya dad!

New Area, New Comp headed to Apucarana

Mom,

remember that one city i served in called apucarana where we broke the record for baptisms in a month and we basically baptized everyone. the Lord has called me to wreck stuff in apucarana again, this time my comp is elder denna, elder delgadillo trained him haha this guy is awesome. he also was there when we broke the record, were basically gonna tear everything up that walks in front of us!!!! this is a call im grateful for, only problem were opening the area, i just opened this area. my 3rd time opening an area, it gets worse everytime also haha. o boy

mom, the word tramp is also a derrogative word for a woman who breakes the law of chastity alot. the word trampoline is a thing that people jump on and have fun. i read that paragraph about 10 times super confused that, " the old tramp gave out us" i thought that you were talking about a car or a sister in law or something or some girl, i got really scared.

tips to be a successful missionary, dont date someone before the mission. give everything you have to the Lord, including your thoughts, will, and desire.

aquela novinha se acha, eu sou um playboy, eu estou de boa na lagoa!

CONGRATS TO CAMBRIA FOR MAKING THE DRY CREEK CHEERLEADING TEAM.

ya so sunday was an adventure. we had this lady sister leida to baptize. we passed by her house to get her and walk to church. we knocked and no one answered. i didnt like it at all. we went and got other people to go to church. went back to there, knocked and knocked and knocked and no one answered. we screamed her name and nothing happened. i knew wed have to play dirty then. we went to the first hour of church, and gave her about 1 hour to think wed forgotten. we walked over there again, this time just knocked but we didnt yell, otherwise they might hear our accents and know its the missionaries, one of them bit it. she came out and was like o hey, do you guys need something...

i was like dont play games get your mother in law and get ready for church. todays her baptism. she went and got sister leida. leida shows up and told us she had some pain in her leg and lower back and couldnt go to church today. i told her wed give her a blessing and that she wouldnt feel any pain anymore for the rest of her day. i told her she had to go to church cause she had to be baptized today. she then said o ya, ive been thinking about being baptized and i decided with my daughter that id wait and be baptized next week with her, we will get to know the church more and stuff blah blah blah. i looked at her gave her a big smile and told her thats a cute idea, the both of you being baptized together next week, but God wants you to be baptized today, get dressed, im gonna call a member to come get you and your family then your all gonna go to church and your baptism will be tonight. 7 o´clock. she agreed to go to church but said she was gonna wait to be baptized and that if she changed her mind, shed call us and then we could baptize her that night. what are we taxis for baptism, we call the shots here daughter of God. how rediculuous is that, if i change my mind ill call you guys, ya sister leida lets just wait outside your house and you can let some white smoke out of the chimney if you want to and black smoke if it wont happen. anyways, the member showed up, bless his heart hes a great man, we put the family into the car, there was no room for us so we had to walk back to church. keep in mind that its about 5 mins til sacrament meeting and its at least a 15 min walk. right as they left i called the ward secretary and told him to put on the announcements for sacrament meeting that at 7 that night there would be the baptism of sister leida. he did. she showed up during the first hymn, sat down they said the opening prayer, then made the announcements. she heard her baptism for 7 that night announced in front of more then 100 people. meanwhile elder morgan and i barely showed up in time for the sacrament. after the meeting she came up to me and said, "so my baptism is at 7 tonight." yes sister leida, now were on the same page :D elder morgan got his first little baptism!!!  love ya mom!

Captain Moroni, Teancum and fighting cats!

Mom,

i dont know where im going to buy ivory white soap?

ya elder morgan is doing fine, i made him sing the song, a whole new world to our investigators yesterday cause they didnt want to get out of bed for church. i dont know if he liked it but i dont care! i dont know why but this elder only knows stuff from disney animated movies...

grandmas gonna go to the temple haha, where is she even living? o ya that one house in the gated community huh?

what does g-ma do all day? she get her license yet? im still rootin for her!

ya some people email me, i think i talk to elder katich more then anyone. hes my boy!

dakotas gonna go to byu idaho, why does everyone wanna go to that school. i think im gonna go to school on the east coast, see the other side of the country for a little bit. nothing on the west side appeals to me plus i know i was supposed to be born and raised in pittsburgh but i got mixed up in the pre- existence.

i was reading in acts 20 or 21 i think when paul is about to go to jerusalem. almost brought tears to my eyes as he spoke about how he never ceased to preach, jews gentiles anyone. got me thinking, am i really giving all that i have? do i speak to everyone that passes by me on the bus, street supermarket. is my will completely in tune with the Lords will and what He wants for His children. ive got to get better. i must get better, im giving almost all of me out here, almost all that i have, but i need to give everything that i have. i was also reading in the book of mormon in the war chapters, and whenever i read the war chapters i get really into it. i start dreaming wars about the lamanites and nephites and captain moroni out there, teancum  my boy is so raw. he doesnt play any games, goes straight to the king and puts a spear in his chest, teancum had no fear whatsoever. then the other night at about 3 in the morning these cats got into a fight in our front lawn. i didnt see it, but it was loud and sounded really intense, so loud that it woke all 4 of us up at the same time. but it was waking up with fear ya know when you jump out of bed and are trying to figure out whats going on. ya thats what happened. personally i thought they were in the kitchen eating our food, so i said wheres the broom thinking i would take on some alley cats with a broom, then everyone told me to stop looking for the broom and that i was trippin out, they were in the front lawn. i was happy they werent in the kitchen, i dont wanna take a gang of alley cats raised on the streets on in my kitchen, sure id win, but id probably walk out of there with scratches, deep and clean cut, ya know those ones that bleed alot. so i mijei then went to bed. but as i was half asleep and half awake i thought/dreamed ( ya know that cycle 2 of the 4 sleep cycles you go through when your awake but your not at the same time.)  about cats dressed all up in armor with kitchen knives and forks and spoons in front of our house getting ready to go to invade our house and kill us. i thought it was cute, a little army of cats trying to battle us haha...put alley cats and the book of mormon together at 3 am and thats what you get mom. elder delgadillo will love this story, he loves cats. but i love you mom.

ya im using the other pair of shoes, but i dont think theyll last till the end. i think theyve got about 4 months left, dont worry im gonna buy some cheap shoes here in a little bit. i want some acne stuff to use but not the kind that dr. jones gave me, its super strong and dries my face up a ton and it gets really uncomfortable in the sun while im working, i want some stuff that is a little more gentle and i can use in the shower please, i dont have time to actually wash my face at night.
what the?! ive never been to temple square! why did brother sallaway take them to there and never took us?! aquele fubecão, safado que nunca quis ajudar com nada e sempre pensava que eu estava fubecando com snakies, sai fora velho!     well we got the house settled and now were ready to start actually working so thats exciting!!!!  i really like this city, its a nice place. love you a ton mom, hope that you have a good week, loved the pictures also! general conference was like the super bowl yet again, i love when they something powerful and all the american missionaries together start cheering like the steelers just scored, i feel like the gospel of Jesus Christ is for happy people and happy people get excited and scream.  love you a ton mãe dos céus!   were finally free of all other troubles. this week we officially moved into our house and got the light and water. now we have nothing to hold us back, we can just go at it. so im pretty excited about all that jazz, now we can finally begin to work! general conference spoke alot about the importance of families huh, thats what i noticed the most i think. those men are pretty inspired and well trained for what they do. love you dad!!!

Slow start in Maringa

Mom,
A hammock? They don’t sell them in the states?
Life has been a whole lot harder ever since i showed up in Maringá. we haven’t really gotten an opportunity to start working, we moved houses and we haven’t had water or electricity in the house for the last two weeks haha and that’s put us back. then pres. Tavares said we have to leave the house cause they don’t know how long its gonna take to get the water and light installed, he said it could be another 15 days which is basically till the end of this transfer. So now were living on the other side of the city in a house with 6 other elders. haha now we have 10 elders living together in the same house. were gonna stay here till we get the water and lights installed. Life’s gonna be bad cause we have to take the bus to get to our area which is tons of money and time. All i know is its gonna take about 2 hours out of proselyting every day. Then Elder Morgan had to do his paperwork to stay in brazil so Monday and Tuesday i was in Londrina doing nothing in the mision office while he was at the police station. Mercy on my soul! All i did was basically hang out with the bros for two days straight.
This house im in right now though has 10 elders, its gonna be a party everynight haha. Today for p-day were gonna have a barbeque. The house here is pretty awesome though. not much to say though cause nothing special has had the opportunity to happen yet. Elder  Morgan seems like he’s going crazy though cause he wants to just have a regular mission for the first time in his life but its not coming like that. Then again that is a regular mission haha.
We took this lady to church that is super firm in her evangelical church. We taught her the restoration and she said, but if the true church has to have 1 prophet and 12 apostles and the authority of the priesthood then my church is false. Is my church false? i said ask God what he thinks and follow what he says. She said no, tell me is my church false. i said yes.  she got really offended  and then started saying that maybe shed come to church but that we don’t need to go to her house and get her cause if she goes she’s gonna go on her own, which basically means im not gonna go. She got really offended by the whole "true church'' thing. so i said, "  either we come and get you and you tell us right now if you go or your not going with us tomorrow. she said she would go. i don’t know what got into me though, i was really mad and there was no spirit at all in the way i invited her to church, but she accepted the invite went to church liked it and now she’s gonna be baptized this Sunday. Elder  Morgan asked me why i got so mad at her, i don’t know why, but it worked! basically me and Elder  Morgan met 10 people that were gonna baptize in the next 3 weeks but they didn’t go to church cause it was Easter and everyone traveled, but these next 3 weeks fires gonna fall from the heavens!!!
         - Elder Bennett

Dad,
o my goodness Maringá is trying to kill us! There is just a lot of things going on that have nothing to do with missionary work, mainly our house. We need a house right now were on the other side of the city staying with other missionaries. Its not that great, but there cool guys. All i know is that these last 3 weeks we baptize 10 people. lets goooo!!!! I’ve never been so focused on something in my entire life!
love ya dad your the man!
